Friendship Line Services Provided to Older Adults in Response to COVID-19

In response to increased social isolation experienced by older adults and their families due to COVID-19, the California Department of Aging partnered with the Institute on Aging to expand services of the Friendship Line statewide. Friendship Line California is an accredited 24-hour toll-free hotline for older adults and adults with disabilities. The line is staffed by trained volunteers who specialize in having caring and friendly conversations.
