The renewal processing timeframe identifies a four month timeframe that begins with the renewal due month and includes the three months after the renewal due month.

The county responsible for processing the renewals due.
SAWS text SAWS

The Statewide Automated Welfare System (SAWS) is the county automated eligibility system that eligibility workers use to determine Medi-Cal eligibility and perform ongoing case management. Counties utilize one of three systems in SAWS including LRS (Los Angeles County), Consortium IV (C-IV)(39 counties), and CalWORKs Information Network (CalWIN)(18 counties).
Eligibility Financial Method text Eligibility Financial Method

The financial methodology used to determine Medi-Cal eligibility. This includes Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) or non-MAGI methodologies.
Renewals Due text Renewals Due

The total number of renewals due during the reporting month for individuals with active Medi-Cal eligibility. The population of renewals due does not include eligibility determinations for programs outside of DHCS.
Renewals Completed text Renewals Completed

The number of renewals due that were completed during the renewal processing timeframe.

Please note the following: Beginning January 2018, CalWIN counties total number completed does not equal to total number of renewals completed resulting in continued eligibility and discontinuances.
Renewals Completed by Due Date text Renewals Completed by Due Date

The total number completed during or before the month they are due.
Continued Medi-Cal Eligibility text Resulted in Continued Medi-Cal Eligibility

The total number of renewals due that were completed during the renewal processing timeframe and resulted in continued Medi-Cal eligibility. This is subset of the Renewals Completed
Auto Ex-Parte text Renewals Completed by Auto Ex-Parte

The total number of renewals completed by auto ex-Parte (using the Federal Data Services Hub (FDSH)). This is subset of the Continued Medi-Cal Eligibility.
Manual Ex-Parte text Renewals Completed by Manual Ex-Parte

The total number of renewals completed by manual ex-Parte (manually checking data from the beneficiary's record, such as the Income and Eligibility Verification System (IEVS), Asset Verification Program, CalWORKS, and/or CalFresh). This is subset of the Continued Medi-Cal Eligibility.
Discontinued - Failure to Respond text Discontinued - Failure to Respond

The total number of renewals due that were completed during the renewal processing timeframe and resulted in discontinued Medi-Cal eligibility due to a failure to respond. (A subset of the Renewals Completed.)
Discontinued - Over Income (MAGI) / Over property (Non-MAGI) text
Discontinued - Other Reasons text Discontinued -Other Reason

The total number of renewals completed during the renewals processing timeframe that resulted in discontinued Medi-Cal eligibility for reasons other than Failure to Respond or Over Income (MAGI)/Over Property (non-MAGI). (A subset of the Renewals Completed.)
Reinstated text Reinstated

Of the individuals Discontinued, the total number of individuals whose Medi-Cal was reinstated during the renewals processing timeframe.
