Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) Eligibility for State Fiscal Years 2010-2023

The data contains a list of hospitals in California that meet the Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) eligibility criteria. DSH is a special program which is aimed at making up the short-fall for hospitals when care is provided to an uninsured or underinsured patient and to Medi-Cal beneficiaries. A hospital which provides a certain amount of uncompensated care is designated as a disproportionate share hospital.
